Partner Ciara Burke is Head of Data Protection and Privacy for Fieldfisher Ireland.

She has extensive experience in data protection, with a strong in-house counsel background in large multinational technology companies. Her expertise allows her to offer strategic, tactical legal and data protection advice with a keen focus on embedding data protection best practice in the day-to-day running of an organisation.

As a former in-house counsel Ciara has first-hand knowledge of the challenges faced by organisations in complying with their data protection obligations.

As a data protection specialist, Ciara advises organisations of all sizes and across multiple sectors on GDPR and Irish data protection law. This can include advice on data subject rights requests, data subject complaints, data breach management, data protection agreements, and data transfers. Ciara can also assist organisations in preparation of GDPR compliance documentation, and data protection policies and procedures.

Ciara can further provide advice on ePrivacy related matters (e.g. Direct Marketing, Cookies and Similar Technologies, etc), including from an Irish law perspective.
