Introduction

Ecomlex is an association of independent law firms (the “Member Firms”) with leading IT, data protection and e-commerce expertise.

Fieldfisher LLP owns and operates the Ecomlex website available at https://www.ecomlex.com/ (the “Website”) and is fully committed to protecting your privacy and any personal information that you provide, or we collect when you use the Website;

Information we collect

We collect personal information from visitors to the Website through the use of on-line forms and every time you correspond with us (for example, when you send us e-mail communications).  We will collect personal information, such as your name, email address and telephone number when you use our ‘Contact Us’ page, together with any other information you choose to provide to us when you send a question, request or enquiry.

We also collect certain information automatically about visitors to our Website, as described in our Cookies Notice.

Our use of your personal information

We use the personal information we collect from you for the following purposes:

For the most part, the information you provide to us on the contact form will be processed on the basis of our legitimate interests which include responding to your request for information, fraud prevention and network and information systems security.

We may also disclose your personal information to one or more Member Firms if we believe that this is necessary or desirable in order to efficiently respond to an enquiry or request you have made. Where we transfer your personal information to Switzerland we do so on the basis that Switzerland’s protection of personal information has been deemed adequate by the European Commission. Member Firms may also share your personal information with their offices around the world in which case they will do so in a manner compliant with EU privacy law, such as on the basis that the offices are located in countries whose laws are deemed to be adequate by the European Commission, or on the basis of the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, binding corporate rules or on the basis of the European Commission’s model contracts.

The personal information which Member Firms obtain will be deleted in accordance with their individual information retention policies which may vary according to their individual business and regulatory requirements.

When we do so we will publish the revised version on the Website.  If you do not agree to these changes, please do not continue to use the Website.  If material changes are made to this Privacy Notice, we will notify you by placing a prominent notice on the Website.

Your rights
